Resolved Question: Help and advice about Red Tailed Black Shark fish?
I went to a shop yesterday asking if they had a Loach that ate snails in my tank! I think i have Malaysian Trumpet Snails, dark grey in colour and shaped like an ice-cream cornet?! Well, the man advised me to buy a Red Tailed Shark saying that they eat them?!! I have since come home and tried to read up on it. I cannot find any info about them eating snails!! Can anyone out there help me in this matter and tell me if they do eat them, please?? I know they aren`t a real Shark and i also asked the man if they grow too big as i have a 90Litre (20 gallon) tank. He said that they only grow big enough for the size of the tank and probably wont grow much more than he is now. He`s about 3" long from nose to tip of tail. Is this true? If not and he grows bigger, then i`m going to wish i`d never bought him! Also, i have in my tank 8 Cardinal Tetras, 4 Platies, 8 Lemon Tetras and an Ancistras (whom i`ve had for 6 years). Would the Red Tailed Shark be ok kept with those fish? I did say to the man about the fish i keep and he reckoned he`d be fine but reading up on him on Google, it seems he could be wrong?!! Any advice or ideas for me please?!!! What do they eat? I give Algae Wafers for my Ancistras and good flake food for the rest of my fish. How do i get rid of the MTS snails?? By the way, i have always fed my fish once every other day (maybe every two days sometimes!) so i`m definately not over-feeding them.

I have a 67gallon tank and I'm getting seven 1-inch discus, I would like to know if its ok to keep them in a 32gallon tank to feed them, since there might be competition for food in the 67gallon with 4 clown loaches, 14 cardinals and one ghost knife fish. I would also like to keep them in the 32gallon until they are large enough to fend for themselves in the 67gallon. How long would it take for them to reach optimal size for the 67gallon? Can you also tell me if what I'm doing is a good idea? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to understand my psychology. I used to have a dog and all he caused was grief. I had to buy him food. I had to take him out to poo. Many times he would poo in the house. It seems like the dog created more stress in my life. A few times he even jumped into my bed and I had to wash the sheets. During the 3 years I had this dog, I had to wash my hands several times a day because the dog would like me. One time, I had to spend $200 on the vet to remove a cyst from his body. I don't know were people come to the conclusion that pets make them happy. So my question remains the same... Why is it that the more I learn about pets (dogs, cats, etc), the more I love humans. Voting Question: What common household foods do birds eat?
I am hoping to attract birds to my back porch, I am an average ornithologist. Can anyone think of any usual household foods to draw birds like robins, cardinals or even sparrow's. I am trying to look for other ways to attract them without traditional seed or suet feeders.
